5 Surprising Things Football Fans Have Done For Love of The Game
We all know one. They’re loud. They’re proud. They’re the ones whose team can do absolutely no wrong...no, no names, we like staying in one piece, thanks.
But we KNOW you have a fan of THAAAT Team in mind rn...
Football fans often pour that endless passion into weird and wonderful things in the name of ‘the beautiful game’. Here are just a few examples:
Clean-up Crew
Senegal fans in Moscow for the World Cup have been snapped collecting litter in the stands after their matches. Fans of Japan’s Samurai Blue are also well known for cleaning up after themselves. When the team lost to Belgium, they left their locker room spotless. With a thank you note. In Russian.
Stop being so heartwarming wei! We cannot take it!!
Charity Cases
Wherever the Welsh national team goes, you'll also find Gôl!, the Welsh Football Supporters Charity dedicated to helping underprivileged children. In 2017, they drove over 2,500 miles (4,023 km for us locals) to Georgia for Wales' World Cup qualifying match, together with football kits, clothes and supplies to pass to local charities.
Weird Cheers
In the stadium-shuddering Grecque (some folks call it the Poznań), fans turn their backs on the pitch, join arms and jump up and down. It’s a multi-club move, but Celtic F.C. fans claim they turned it into a stadium-wide phenomenon.
This cake is not a lie.
For true explosive power, there’s always Polish rivals Wisła Kraków and Lech Poznań. During one of their matches, some enthusiastic LP fans set their own stadium on fire. Play had to be paused while firefighters put out the blaze. Oh, and the match? A 1-1 draw.
Anyone know what ‘don’t try this at home’ is in Polish?
Victory Veg
We hear Chelsea fans like to throw money--wait that doesn’t sound right...
...Chelsea fans have a tradition of celebrating by throwing CELERY. Some say it’s a reference to an old football chant. Chelsea finally warned fans that anyone with celery would be refused entry to Stamford Bridge, and celery throwers would be banned. But those hosting their away matches might still see the greens fly.
Doctor, Doctor
In 2012, Bolton Wanderers player Fabrice Muamba suffered a cardiac arrest and collapsed mid-game. Consultant cardiologist Andrew Deaner joined medical personnel on the pitch as they performed CPR. Fabrice received several more defibrillator shocks on the way to the hospital, but eventually recovered.
We feel we should mention: Andrew’s a fan of Bolton’s opponents that day, Tottenham Hotspur. Seems he was in the right place at the right time!
Who doesn’t heart stories like these eh?
As a fan here in Malaysia, you don’t have to go to such lengths to prove your passion for your fave team. Just being a football fan and a good friend can net you official team goodies. Yes, really one!

Read about your writing. Nice explanation on the usage.
Same to me, I also paying a lot to the "waste bin" just to opt for higher data package, until I know about Yoodo.
Now I can just opt for lowest call/sms package or just get a booster whenever I need it, instead of wasting them.
