Why do we still pay for data and internet. It should be given as part of the deal... No? Min 1 GB and basic.

You can claim Yoodo free 1gb everyday as long as your line still active, but terms applied.

The free 1gb is usable for Chrome general browsing at normal speed, if you using app like facebook/WhatsApp then it'll be throttled 64kbps.

EG EU GINN , some telco provide basic internet , but this speed is running very low.

example :you buy yoodo highspeed 5GB/month plan , when finish 5GB then will become basic internet.

when you do speed test , some high speed plan you will get 5mbps speed , 15mbps speed.

but this basic is only 0.064mbps.....

ONG JUAY SEONG   Isn't that the same for all other Telco's when you use up the data? last time they use to make money on Calls like how Maxis sell you all these call and premium family and  sub line packages, then now with the era of the internet rising, so now most telcos give  you unlimited calls to all lines all Telco's  haha.... Now the telco networks will leverage on Data... SO if you need the data then pay for what you need. Otherwise... find a nearby Starbucks somewhere and some unused Wifi password receipts!  lol Good luck

Genie Babe lol not many people know about the unused receipts trick on Starbucks =P

btw Hey welcome to our Community!

Interesting point, but why do you think Telcos should give Data free? I mean it's a business, even if you go mamak, you can ask for warm water and sit there not buying anything else.

Would love to see where you're coming from to understand better ;)

PS: next time you're at Starbucks, smile a lil more, then go to the barista and ask for another wifi password once yours ends, they can actually print another and pass it on. Most outlets are okay with that, but can't do over and over I guess haha

Genie Babe The free 1GB data is limited use, cannot be used for many websites, and it's government subsidized benefit (due to covid-19) to support online learning and that will end soon, as children has gone back to school. So, yeah, if your usage is little, for occasional Whatsapp, web browsing and for waze, then no problem. If you need to watch YouTube or play games or browse Facebook, you will still need data subscription.

I think the good thing for Yoodo is that there is no time restriction on the free 1GB daily high-speed data (if I am not mistaken). Unlike some other telcos, the free 1GB high-speed data is limited to 8am-6pm only.  But all the 1GB free data actually has not much use as most work from home with home wifi. I only have to get them when my home wifi is acting up occasionally, and kids needed to use Google Meet to attend online class.
