Hi Muhammad shahfiq, selamat datang ke komuniti Yoodo. Sebagai pencerahan promo baru telah ditetapkan pada plan asas dan hanya dapat dilanggan sekali sahaja dan tidak dapat dibeli berkali-kali seperti kata cik "kalau aku beli promo ni 3 kali baru dapat 90GB dgan harga RM105".

Memang la base plan x boleh beli banyak kali. Aku bagi contoh kalau aku beli 3 kali pun akan lagi mahal dari 100gb tu. Nak harap booster nak addon lagi la mahal. Kawan aku yang aku suruh masuk pun dah port out dah. Boleh dah kowt, dengaq cakap users ni users komplen bagi macam2 alasan. Users bukan semua bodoh (facepalm)

We do realize it's a change of behaviour (from Booster to Base Plan Promos), and it will take some time for users to know and adapt. It would help also if they know prior especially when it's a change in purchasing behaviour like this. Duly noted and will bring this up to the team so we could improve moving forward :)

@jeff, this is why I have been asking Yoodo to make early announcement of upcoming changes. I can accept your apology, but am I to be left with the awkward situation with no recovery/compensation action from yoodo at all? I am not the only one got affected in fact. If yoodo is making change from data booster to base plan, it is a MUST to inform users upfront and not leaving us lost in the jungle right now.

in addition, we are not allowed to end the current cycle once it is started, bassically there is no way for us to catch the new base plan promo at all. The current data booster comes without promo price, it does not fit for full cycle use. It is obviously Yoodo ignorance that make this worst scenario happen, and yet the users remain punished to accept all these? What is Yoodo stand on this critical issue?

Hi YEO GEK SIEW, there's no compensation cause it's not a mistake from Yoodo's end. What I replied above was taking into note your suggestion, which I too agree upon.
It's not a must for any company to reveal the promo that's coming, infact the usual practice is they wouldn't reveal the promo except the date it starts. Hope that explains :)

@Jeff you are correct saying that it is Yoodo right not to reveal the upcoming promo. But you have to admit that Yoodo model is different from other company. Yoodo user was expecting new promo coming up and it is usually is on the booster basis. And now it turns out to be on base plan basis. And it is also Yoodo base principle not to let user to end their cycle prematured. I feel that we as a user is somehow caught innocent.

If Yoodo responsible enough, they should know that the change of booster based promo to base data promo will affect users who never subscribe base data. i do not know what Yoodo should do at this moment to relief user affected like me, but definitely not “doing nothing and duly noted”.

@PP Foong, I have been suffering without data since 6th Oct due to the fact knowing there is new promo on 10.10, but is fine, it is my choice. However I could not accept the fact that we as a user are now screwed due to Yoodo poor arrangement. I have voiced this out, and what I can can do is definitely let it go, it is now for me to see how Yoodo as a responsible company will handle it satisfactorily and responsibly.

YEO GEK SIEW, you can still buy the data from booster plan,
If your phone supports dual SIM, you can also get another Yoodo SIM, register a new number, and still can buy the base data plan with it.
Or, if your phone supports dual SIM, you can also get another SIM from other telco that you think the data plan is cheaper, such as the Unifi mobile bebas free data for new SIM, and then you got your data.
And there are many many more solutions out there.
When face problem, think about solution loh. What to do.

If you think that Yoodo has the obligation to give promo to you in booster plan, and you really want to fight for it, well, you can go to the tribunal court and ask for their advice on your case.

@PP Foong, is ok you do not understand my situation. This is my parents line which I monitor and control remotely. Appreciate your suggestion but none work for me. Things happen, and I have to turn to booster which is much more costly and not reasonable? Booster, is meant for a back up when your base plan finished up, not for entire cycle full swing use. And who move my cheese, it is Yoodo, my dear friend.
Again, I do not know what obligation as a superuser has to side Yoodo, but I see you have done perfectly for Yoodo benefit sake. -

On Yoodo side, theJeff has already said that they have taken note on the lesson learnt and will bring up to the team for future improvement.
On your good side, you just need to admit that you have made the wrong move and fine-tune your strategy next time.
We won't grow up and grow smart by keeping on blaming others and ignoring our own mistake.
If you strongly believe it is other fault and you want to fight for compensation, by all mean go to the tribunal court or litigation. Aren't I also advised you on this?

@PP Foong what you mean by “my problem is very clear”? I am now sitting without any base plan for the current new cycle, booster does not fit in this case.
Why was I having the wrong move? Because Yoodo has preset the mindset of ppl that promo is based on booster, never on the base plan. If this is taking place for the first time, Yoodo has to somehow alert the user in certain way upfront.
If you are not fully understand my situation or simply want to score ranking in the community, silence may be is gold.
To go court or not, this actually not in my mind until you mind-blowingly remind me. Thanks. -
Hey guys, actually Yodoo is a social experiment, so far for me I totally can see the pitfalls in never knowing one month to the next what is coming and hiw much you going to pay, I completely implore Yodoo toet users create new plan as often as they please, as this provides flexibility, after all is exactly what they MARKET, my experience so far personally am very happy with the service and promos and pricing, and even there standard base plans are very price competitive after comparing to all other telco, plus you get proper 4G speeds, not like alot other telcos which barely give you 3G, end of the day life is full of choices and you can't always get it right, sometimes you have to hedge your bets, but I again endorse and implore Yodoo to other up some type of consistency moving forward, with there promos as an added bonus, but as stated the requirement to start new plans as soon as purchased and forego your old one, hope that makes some sense.

@Rosmah, fully agree the flexibility yoodo offer to users to customize their plan. And do agree also that promos are the addon benefit from yoodo. I have been satisfied with Yoodo this far until I got trapped with the sudden transition from booster promos to base plan promo. This is not being taken care by Yoodo, given the cruel fact that we not able to end any cycle as wished. This is very disappointed and bad experience.
