Hi BENJAMIN YEOW JIT SAN, thanks for your feedback. All our users are paying customers, we appreciate all of them :)

There's no option to separately switch off notifications currently but you can do so in your device to stop notifications from the app itself. Do let me know if you need assistance on how to go about that, I can help to google it out. Thanks again

But that will mean important notifications like expiry and renewal will also be blocked. Yoodo just need to use the notification feature in a responsible matter. Not everyone is interested in your discount deals or phone contest. If u still want to send then make sure you have an opt out option. That is what a responsible company would do.

Maybe Yoodo can consider options let users to choose which one preferred to receive, eg. Newsletter, Promo, Contest, Account related, Announcement and etc...

I dont really see much notification from my Yoodo apps, perhaps 2times a month?

But suggestion from @Wong MJ is good. Just like the email features where user are allow to choose whether they want to receive alert related to promotion.

Hi BENJAMIN YEOW JIT SAN, absolutely agree with you. Perfect balance would be to give users the options to choose which notifications they'd like to receive, or none. It's actually in our list of things to do for this year, I sure hope it'll done soonest than later.

Will keep everyone updated should I hear anything in regards to this. In the meantime, please bear with the marketing promos as it's essential to our expansion and growth too (totally understand it's a nuisance to you in this case). Thanks again! :)

That's weird, I don't receive any yoodo promo notifications. I do receive notifications about data renewal and when it's almost used up which I do appreciate.

Thank you guys for the clarification, however I already knew about the notification inside the app. What I meant in my first comment is that I don't receive push notifications related to promotions while the app is closed, which is a good thing for me because I only need push notifications that are related to my data quota and status of my line.

Some phone OS (and also some phone optimizer apps) will kill non-active background processes to get better battery hour.

When the app is closed, probably it is killed by such action.

Normally there is a place to tell the system not to kill certain apps.

In Huawei, it is under Settings > Battery > App launch

Newer version of Android OS also can control the notification per apps, inside the Settings > Notifications section.

Well to be honest, it's never ever ever give me a popup or notification about anything unless i check it.
Maybe because of huawei power saving feature.

Anyway, my suggestion is why not keep it that way.

Give popup or any notication only for important or urgent issues,
such as downtime announcement, fb whatsapp insta downtime etc etc.

While the usage notification, promos goes into email.

    That would be much better!😀
