Unactivated SIM from friend.
AnsweredI have a SIM from a friend which is unactivated with a nice number.
I want to activate the SIM under my account with the the number.
Try doing it under my account, cannot get the number to register under my account.
How to do it? Thank you.

hi LAI KIM LOONG, our Yoodo sims don't have numbers. You can order a number and activate it with a sim. In your case unless you use the same order that your friend used, then you can't complete the activation.
You can ask your friend to cancel that order and then you can try to request the same number if it hasn't been ordered by anyone else :)

Now, I get it.
All SIMs sent to us is EMPTY, I repeat EMPTY. It is only our order in the system that is valid and we can use ANY unactivated SIM for it, right? That is a wonderful idea. I always thought my SIM delivered to me has my number. Now, I know the number and the plan is in the system, not in the SIM or assign to it.
Follow up question, Why my friend, need to cancel order on the assign number?
Can't it be transfer to me because it is still unactivated. Can the customer service do the transfer for me?
Thank you.

Hey LAI KIM LOONG, as mentioned above. You can't transfer cause he 'ordered' this number under His name.
Actually you can try selecting the same number and after you done ordering (if you managed to get it) - you can just use the same unactivated SIM card to activate your new number :)

I am naive on this matter, unless I has been a phone dealer before. Blank SIM is really good. I think this was not clearly explain earlier on the portal or on the website or perhpas it was my fixated thinking that SIM always comes with a number. Order your SIM now and configure later, that would clarify matters better.
What does MNP stand for? Meaning?
Thank you.
