    Hi JACOB LNG, thanks for raising this up. Gotta agree it does seem confusing when you put it that way, especially when it's a first time customer referring a friend who's hearing about us for the first time.

    Referral programs aren't cut cost measures, not when we're actually paying out double for referrals compared to someone who registers on their own.

    I can assure you that I'll bring this up to the team to see how we can tweak this to be even more user-friendly. In the meantime, will see what I can do for you referral you brought up above, since you've already talked to our agents. Will be in touch. Thanks! :)

    Currently, the app will prompt "Have a promo code?" when activating the sim. Maybe Yoodo can add 2 words to change it to "Have a promo or referral code?" so that a new user knows that you can either enter a promo code or referral code in the text box. Just a suggestion.

    Unfortunately it's true.

    I experienced it myself too. They need to make it easier and use friendly to users.
    Even the term used is different.
    Referral vs promo.
    They told us to use our referral code during registration of our friends and families. But during the registration, the only option to key in is in the promo column.

    How confusing can it be?

    well. may be the platform still new and alot of the feature is not that "perfect"

    I only can say take this as a lesson learnt and next time directly use the referral code.

    @Loh Jik Nen.
    You can't say that. The process of building an app include the choice of words in it. Which should cover the best and user friendly words so as not to confuse and mislead users.
    Each words used for and from a company is a big responsibility.

    The lesson learnt is that me and OP lose rm20 on the first registration. Which could lead to a fed up or giving up and also felt being mislead by the company.
    Which is not a good image given.

    @Jafrul
    We both know Yoodo is new while there is improvement can be done in some aspect.

    And what happened is already happened and it will be a lesson learnt. Feedback already done and there is no solution given at the moment, as I interpreted from the comment/post above.

    So which part you do not agree?

    The lesson learn does not justify. It's really a misleading step and the wording used will not trigger for you to key in the referral code.

    I'm confident that i won't be the last person who will experience this.

    Then they should provide a temporary solution to it instead let it be. Eg. They can verify with the other party to prove its justification on this matter. Or it's just a strategy for cost saving?

    Yoodo please associate no siri sim dengan identiti referrer. Then bila referrer orderkan simkad untuk someone to refer. Then they activate the simcard then yoodo should be able to automatically acknowledge the referral. No need no promo/referral code no more. Maka dengan ini referrer kena betul2 buat kerja. Kena orderkan sim untuk yang nak direfer. Kalau sebelum ni just campak referral code sana sini je kan. Haaa. Hehe

    Sebab saya pernah try refer orang baru. Rasa macam saspen je. Sebab nak masukkan promo code tu kan last2 dalam proses activation (kalau tak silap). Takut kalau2 depa terlupa nak tekan untuk masukkan referral code kita, dah melepas. Hahampa. Tapi kalau referral tu dah link siap2 masa order simkad, tak ada dah saspen2 macam tu. Just activate simkad tersebut macam biasa. Hehe.

    Sorrylah kalau silap.

    Hi,

    Is this matter solved? Cause I experienced the same thing.  I was not able to key in the referred code cause of the promo code. Seem not user friendly.

    Hi thejeff! Yes, correct. I have spoken to shidi from live chat and waiting for her email which I haven't receive till now. Is there a solution to this or is like what everyone said previously that nothing can be done. And also, I would like to bring this matter up. Since this issue happend a year ago and many hav suggest to change the word from promo to referral code, why have not this been done?
