I didn't attend the meetup and only read this news from soyacincau.

My question is, any restriction on the compatible device? Please take into consideration in more android devices. Not like durian esim- 

p/s: I'm using pixel 2 XL. mind to put it in list too? :x

  We don't have any official statements yet regarding compatible devices with soon-to-be available Yoodo e-sim. Hopefully, all newer device models will be supported.

  As discussed before, https://support.yoodo.com.my/hc/en-us/community/posts/360019805813-Durian-man-e-sim hopefully we can have our own version of esim. It definitely will help a lot of people.

  From my understanding, there should not be any restrictions from telco sides as long as the phone have a build in esim hardware and firmware. And it seems more and more esim compatible devices introduced.

   

  The light seems a bit more brighter with Yoodo now.

  JAFRUL FIRDAUS BIN JINAN TAIB , so far what i know from durian Esim, its seem to be supporting only Mi devices at the moment, which, i hope yoodo won't do the same. And yes, my device supports esim and I do not mind to become pilot tester. :D

  Thanks Zen LOH for volunteering to be Beta tester! I think most probably that would be the Yoodo way, to use the support from Community if any testing etc is needed! 

  eSIM is still very new, there are so many decisions, contracts being finalized right now so I can't say anymore more than we're definitely pushing this as fast as we possibly could. If it's up to us, we want it to be accessible to all device that supports it.

  I will update the Community whenever I get more info in regards to this, or any other upcoming features as well :)

  For esim, it's depends on brand firmware os itself. For durian mas, I have read about it. No need sim but still occupied 1 sim slot.

  I'm using xiaomi which is my os already compatible with esim. But I'm not test it yet. If needed, I'm ready 😎

  Sama le kita. Phone poco poco sy ni pun compatible dengan mana2 esims.
  So, bila yoodo nak tester, roger2 je kami. 😁😊

  Power lah. So, full time mobile WiFi hot-spot lah proton nanti. Kalau Yoodo support esim, boleh kawal data untuk nombor esim di dashboard yoodo app.

  make prefect sense for an eSim, considering a few overseas telcos data provider already offering it online. save the hassle of sending/posting out physical sim.
