Receive bank TAC when I go oversea
AnsweredI have just port into Yoodo. But I was welcomed by the yoodo rule that I was not able to receive malaysia bank TAC sms because I do not have the roaming pass. This is quite a ridiculous fact that I need to buy the RM10 roam pass just to receive one sms from my malaysia bank. I check with the live chat staff, there is nothing I can do beside buying the roam pass. I would say this is a big downside of yoodo.

For Yoodo, if you want to receive calls from overseas, you need to buy roaming pass known as Roam Like Home (RLH). You can go to the above address for more information about RLH.
https://support.yoodo.com.my/hc/en-us/articles/115004833033-What-is-Roam-Like-Home-
The reason for Yoodo not activates incoming calls when overseas automically; due the incoming calls when roaming is chargeable. Like the other telco, you can answer the calls when overseas, but if you too happy on the line, your credit will be gone before you know it.

Oh yes, for CIMB and Maybank, they have launched TAC without waiting for the TAC via sms.
For CIMB, it is known as SecureTAC. More information on CIMB SecureTAC,

That's strange. According to the FAQ below, you should still be able to receive sms even without subscribing to a roaming plan.

Hi FOONG WENG KHONG, yea WONG YUEN SERN is right.
As I'm aware and we've tested, as long as your APN is set to yoodo and you're latched onto our preferred Network, even if you did not purchase Roam Like Home (for roaming), you should still be able to Receive In-Coming SMS
If you've updated the above but still can't, do let the Live Chat agents know and they'll escalate this accordingly for our Network team to check immediately. Thanks

FOONG WENG KHONG the only thing you can receive for Free without purchase a Roaming pack is SMS :)
In order to use Voice (Incoming and outgoing) and DATA, you would need RLH packs active
