Thanks for this. I think Yoodo should sort of send an SMS reminder to switch to these local network partners in order to enable Roam Like Home once we are abroad.

Or Yoodo can learn Umobile to prohibited/restricted other telcos except their own and oversea partners.

Ooh I thought those SMSes were default practice for any telcos. I used Hotlink, Maxis and Umobile before, and usually I would get the SMS telling me which operator to choose. Last weekend was my first time abroad using Yoodo, and was expecting that kind of SMS too lol.

    Hi @theJeff,
I went to Chiang Mai. Signal was at full bar all the time but no operator listed ("Emergency calls only"), so that is why I thought it is strange that I couldn't receive any SMS.

I asked my friends in Malaysia to send me an SMS, but they received a reply that the text didn't go through coz my phone is switched off.

Hope this can be sorted out soon :) thanks

Just wondering, was your APN set to Yoodo? Because as far as i understand, the APN has to be Yoodo for RLH to work. If already set to Yoodo and still can't RLH then Jeff's team got more troubleshooting to do 😂

Thanks for the info SOFIA REHAN BINTI RAMLI :)

Weird tho, cause we have the welcome SMS working in Thailand, and I've personally used it as well.

Was your APN set properly like on the post by DENJAYNAVEER ASLAM BIN TANJUI  above?

I'm also getting my Network team to see if there's any reason why you didn't get it :)

Yes everything on the APN is exactly the same as above.

Quick question: can I receive SMS when I am in a country that is not covered by RLH?

IDEA in India doesn't work anymore. Don't select it. Just arrive here yesterday. A local friend told me IDEA has closed down. Use Airtel instead.

Nak terima sms pun kena set APNkah? Setahu saya, APN hanya untuk data internet. 🤔🤔

I just re-read this thread again. saw daily quota at only 500mb. no wonder my connection is lousy in India. even when there is Airtel 4G, I am just getting H or even E. 500mb is just too little.

Yoodo's RLH quota depends on how much data/voice/sms you currently have in your plan. If you have 20GB in your quota, you will have 20GB to roam as well. I think Wong Meng Jian copied that 500MB portion from Celcom's roaming plans as a reference (correct me if I'm wrong).

Hi DING SIEW YONG, there's no quota/data throttling on Yoodo. During RLH, it depends on how much Data you have on your account, as long as you have Data, you should get the max speed possible.

As for the speed, this will depend on the Roaming Network over there that you're connected to, the signal strength etc. I think it's best you get in touch with our agents via Live Chat directly so they could check your connections and advice accordingly :)

The signal strength is really weak and slow.

I am not getting 3G or 4G, while my Indian colleagues are having no issues with their Airtel connection.

Is this because outsiders are getting discriminated?

Hi Tan, you just need to ensure your preferred sim change APN to Yoodo for roaming data usages.

If sim 1 is Yoodo sim, then set the APN of sim 1 to yoodo to use RLH.
For sim 2, telco X, check for the APN of telco X to set it properly.
