3G can be use alsolah, as long not playing high resolution video streaming. Anything other than should be okay. But we are heading to the more advance mobile technologies, by still maintaining and offering the 3G I feel so backward with it.

The line is getting worser. Eventhough it is 4G but it is unable to connect to the internet. I have to restart my phone several times but it does not avail.

I am insisted to know what area and speed quality, download and install OpenSignal. I am more trust these app compare to any coverage maps provided by the telcos themself.
OpenSignal collecting data about signal and the speed performance, a crowd sourcing project. The coverage map will show the colors that represents of signal and speed quality, green of good speed and red of slower, no color no coverage. Be warned the apps will do the speed test at some interval time of the day, but we still can put it disable it if we are not going to participate into their crowd sourcing data.

Hi MOHD AMIN BN MASELI, yup agree with the rest. I'm not sure why you're facing that situation, best is to get in touch with our agents via Live Chat. They'll be asking you more questions so we can pass it on to the Network team to investigate soonest possible.

There could be a few straightforward reasons, signal strength, cell tower congestion etc, but help us to get more info by getting in touch ya? Thanks :)

3G still ok, but the 4G coverage is definitely wider than some which is nice. And it doesnt have a seperate quota for 3g and 4g.

I am working in Sungei Gedong Bagan Serai Perak. It is rather slow eventhough with 4G coverage. But yesterday i had to restart my phone for several times and it did not work at all. Today it is fine. As usual. I did try to use the live chat. But it crashed.

Thanks for the update MOHD AMIN BN MASELI, as you mentioned that your Network was slow at that time, possibly why the Live Chat crashed as well.

Good to know it's back to ok now, but If you have free time today, please get in touch with our agents via Live Chat and give the details of the error from yesterday. They will ask you a series of questions so we can find out where it happened, time and so on. We'll be able to pass that on to the Network team to investigate and hopefully fix as well.

Thanks again for letting us know! :)

Muhammad Syawal bin Halimun & SHAIFUL NIZAD BIN HASHIM please do get in touch with our agents via Live Chat. They'll record a few questions from you (eg. address of where it happened, when exactly - the time and date, device used etc).

This is important so we can get our Network team to investigate and rectify the issue. Whether it's a signal drop or speed, there's always a bunch of possible reason that can affect the outcome, best is for them to investigate and get back to you. Thanks and sorry for the inconvenience caused. Hoping it'll all be good soon enough :)

  • Funny thing about Yoodo, even though its under the same coverage as celcom, it seems that my Yoodo Internet is faster than my celcom at my family house 😂

Coverage is good in most areas of Kota Kinabalu; but the quality of connection is bad and the line seems to be congested all the time between 12 PM - 12 AM every day!!

The speed and reliability of the internet at UMS and 1 Borneo are disappointing..

    Missed this thread 🤔🤔

I've been using Yoodo for 3 months now. Been travelling from KK to as far as Kota Marudu. Signal could not be better than what I'm having now. 4G is widely available of course you'll experienced 3G in some places but I never had E. Of course I didn't stare at my phone 24/7 😂😂

So far, Yoodo has been outstanding (at least to the parts of Sabah I've been) and could be ranked with the mainstream telco in terms of signal but surely it is cheaper than all the mainstream telco.

I could not but continue saying this because Yoodo is simply cheaper to maintain for "peasant" like me 😅😅👍👍

Connection cut off from time to time, it could comes to less than 20 Kilobyte per second, a bit higher than basic internet speed.

Becomes more problematic lately, maybe incoming flooding RM 10 ten GB, tengok macam mana dulu.

Hi CHANG CHEN YEE, hmm even if we get another 100k users from this promo - it shouldn't cause the network to be slower like that as we're on Celcom's network which is definitely wide enough to accommodate quite a few more million subs.

Is yours intermitten or consistent (at a particular place and time) ? Could you please get in touch with our agents via Live Chat, they'll ask you a bunch of boring questions but it's important for us to let our Network team investigate cause it is true sometimes certain cell towers can be congested or performing below par which can cause the network issues like you've mentioned. Sometimes it's even the device issue, it's too vague to comment without having more info :)

    That's the problem, @theJeff !

What should we do as users to grab your attention (as Yoodo) and convince you that there is a real network issue that cause the internet speed to be very slow and the connection to be unstable and intermittent most of time?

Should we video shot our browsing and downloading activity to prove? Should we look after the nearest cell towers by ourselves?

Because each time we complain, we get the blame first! As we are pretending or lying about the network issues. Anyway, I feel that I have no choice most of the time!

I agree with Illia. When I first started joining Yoodo. The speed is incredibly, but recently the speed just declined, in my office building I'll have 4G but only 2 line, but it doesn't affect the speed at all at first, but recently even if it shows 4G but I couldn't even download a photo from whatsapp or sent it. This always happened to me when I join a new telco, all will be great in the beginning, but after few months things just went bad, not only Yoodo, but all major telcos as well, what's up with that? Just a coincidence? Or not?

Illia and Chan, not a coincidence as most of us the users know that the upstream (Celcom) network is the real problem here. A bit of search and we'll read about dissatisfaction of here and there. Most of the standard we'll get is to on/off phone or on/off plane mode. The real culprit here is congestion, and yet our phone is to be blamed all the while. Try to raise a ticket, let them know officially how bad their lines are, if still not rectified, we have a ministry in charge to go to.
