Data is quite pricey
AnsweredIt's really great that we can finally customise the plan according to our needs. But for heavy user like me that use around 40 to 50gb per month, the price is quite expensive. Considering other telco able to provide unlimited or big quota for data at more or less the same price as Yoodo. Plus they bundled together quota for calls, sms and some even give special quota for hotspot and roaming.
Yes, Yoodo is very good for those light and to certain extent moderate user. But for those heavy user, my humble opinion is Yoodo still cant attract them to change to Yoodo. Some price revision might be useful.

Hey! It is kinda pricey in some ways. But, consider this. Maxis has always boast about their connection and etc.. But, Celcom is not far behind. Speed wise is comparable. If you’re using 30 GB and above, it’s cheaper than Maxis ONE Plan. And, think about this, if you use 100 GB with 2000 minutes of calls and SMS, it only costs around RM 182 per month. Maxis ONE Plan offers only 60 GB with unlimited calls and SMS. But, who on earth would use more than 2000 minutes and SMS? And, we rarely use phone calls or SMS anymore due to the advances of modern day technology. So, you could pair your plan with less calls and SMS and you pay cheaper price for that! I’m just a consumer and I’m actually loving the concept from Yoodo.

But how about those who use umobile? Yes, in term of connection umobile is still behind both maxis and celcom. Lets not touch about the connection issue.
What if the user is in the area where maxis, celcom and umobile connection are superb, like in JB or KL. If I'm not mistaken, umobile offered unlimited data and calls for only RM99.
And i hate to disagree with you but there are still people who makes calls quite a lot. But still 2000 minutes of call is enough lol.

I guess you’re correct in some ways. But, you need to factor in that there are still some places that U Mobile couldn’t reach. Even if they could reach it, the speed is slower than favorable. And, I think you’re quite perculiar. As, I have an unlimited plan for my home. So, I’m always using WiFi at home. And, the only time I utilized my data is when I’m in my workplace, commuting and somewhere other than my home. Don’t get me started with U Mobile’s customer service. They’re so horrible and most of the time do not understand what I’m trying to ask. Lol

Yea I’m here for the flexibility as well.. definitely need some voice but hardly finish 20mins each month.. more like for emergency only! And coming from U-Mobile, loved the free music bit but hardly could use it when driving cause coverage, especially road trip! So yea.. Looks promising ;)

Hi guys,
Talking about the data volume, coverage area, price and so on, people like me always wanted to know about the speed. I'm working with server and speed is my priority because I'm always mobile.
How about the speed? What is the average speed? The maximum?
I'm currently using Maxis and the speed always above other telcos. It's pretty easy to catch 40-50Mbps wherever LTE is discoverable. Some telcos even dare to give unlimited data volume but not with high speed network together. This is sad.
If the speed is okay, I would like to give a chance to Yoodo! 😁

Heya!
Totally feel you and Yes speed is super important no doubt cause I've used different telco before which gave me unlimited data but pointless cause the speed and coverage didn't allow me to maximize my usage anyway - worse during tethering!
We don't have a published report on maximum speed at this point, and as it's totally location, network and coverage dependent (we're running on Celcom's network) with LTE.
Personally, from my usage on Yoodo since launch I can safely say the fastest I've gotten from speed test is 70Mbps and the slowest was 43Mbps (both when on 4G LTE). Best part is of course that this will be constantly upgraded nationwide. Hope that helps!

Absolutely! Network-wise it's the same, so same speed. Infact found this article online on a recent speed test
