Not yet I suppose as only the latest iPhones have been provisioned for eSIM compatibility with Yoodo. Should be coming soon to Google Pixel devices and other Android devices.

Hi SEE GUO LIN, this is not dependent on Yoodo but Google itself. Many of the Pixel phones in Malaysia are from regions that Google didn't open (locked) their eSIMs for.

When they officially open it for Malaysia, you can straight away use it as our backend systems is setup for all phones that support it :)

My Xiaomi Redmi 5 is supposed to support e-sim but only with durian man app. I didn't try Yoodo e-sim on my phone because of the fear I might brick my phone he he

  • Hi, recently Google released the new Android 10, and I've been able to add Yodoo esim thru my QR code. However, it recognises the network to be not activated. They said that giving my EID number can help to activate the service.

Can anyone assist me on this issue?

Hi MUHAMMAD ZAIN AL'AMIRUDDINBIN MD ZIN, from Network side there's nothing we can do further to activate an eSm. It's already made available, especially on those devices mentioned, just using the normal activation process it will activate it.

Our last check was that Google didn't unlock the features for this region for Pixel yet, not sure if anything is changed on this but if we get official notice, will definitely update the device list above :)

    Hi @Zain,

Mind sharing which region is your Pixel 3 originated from? Mine's from HK but I haven't tried activating eSIM.

  • @See Guo Lin mine is from Canada. Can confirm no region lock for my phone as I can automatically use my local sim on it.

  • Oh wait, mine isn't Pixel 3, it's Pixel 2.

Google added support to them on the esim besides Google Fi

@theJeff Anyway, XOX has been offering eSIM support for Pixel 3 and Pixel 3 XL officially, so it's not likely that Google has locked it. http://esim.xox.com.my/ Did you guys really truly make sure it's not caused by differences in eSIM implementation in Yoodo?

Btw not only does XOX support Pixel 3/3XL officially, their plans are also very attractive.

hi NG WAI KHEI, not sure why it's not working for you but unfortunately as for refunds, you're right, won't be for any devices we haven't officially stated as per the list shared above.

Personally I'm using Yoodo esim on my iPad pro 2019, activated within minutes, no issues till now.

As you mentioned maybe someone else who's using your same model can comment, or alternatively trying looking in Apple forums etc externally to see if anyone had issues with esim on their device, and if there's a workout around or hack for it? Hope that helps. Thanks
