Of course you can! :) Set it via your phone to enable it.
For Call Forwarding settings, you may select "When busy", "When unanswered" and "Forward when unreachable". The option "Always forward" is not supported.
Please ensure you add the country code when you add the mobile number you'd like to forward your call to. Example: +6019 876 5432

Hi Jeff, thank you so much for your prompt reply. You bring up a good point about the Roam Like Home.
I understand that I need a Voice Credit for the call forwarding to work. Your system is dialing the targeting number for me and reducting from the Voice Credit.
The catch is, can we do it without the Roam Like Pakage? The RM10/day rate could be a killer if we are to stay for a month or two.
Right now, I use Call Forward to forward call to my foreign number when I am abroad. With other telco, usually this is done without the need of subscribing to any roaming package.
Any ideas?
Hope any sifoo can share more lights on this.
Hi LEE EARN PIN, sorry missed your comments.
Short answer is No, that's simply because unlike other Telco's we don't have a hefty monthly bill nor contract. Thus everything on Yoodo is get it if you need it, don't need to pay if you don't kinda thing.
I guess in essence it would be cool to have Call Forwarding deducting directly from Call Quotas even without the need to purchase RLH when abroad but unfortunately our system isn't designed that way from inception so I doubt that'll be possible at this point.
Definitely good point there, wish I had a better solution for you at this point :)
Got it. Too bad. Otherwise would be able to port my line from Digi to you. I have been waiting for this features. Hope that inception can be changed one day or simply because we are too pampered by other telco and thought that call forward without roaming package is possible. Taking it for granted :)
If I set the call forward using my phone, and then I turn off my phone. The call forward should still working right? In this case, Yoodo would not know if I am inside Malaysia or outside Malaysia and as long as I have Call credit in my Yoodo account, the call forward should continue to work right? Am I right?
Latest finding:
Using an Android phone, call forward comes in four options. Including forward all, forward when busy, forward when unanswered and forward when unreachable. It works only on option 2,3 and 4. When choose option 1, getting an error.
Using an iPhone, call forward come in single option only. I assume it is forward all. It is not working.
In short, to setup a call forward, you need an android phone.
And, if you wanna forward all call, you can call forward when unreachable. Then you turn your phone off. Make sure you have Voice plan. Then, call forward will work. Calls get forwarded immediately.
And, I’m thinking, if you are in overseas, the call forward should work even you do not have a roaming pass. Why? Because your phone is turned off. Yoodo will have no ideas in which country the phone is.
This is contradict to what the Jeff told me earlier. I could be wrong. Let me know if otherwise.
Also, I wish, Yoodo team can look into fixing Call Forward All Call in iPhone and Android.
Lee .wait jeff to answer you.
1. Call forward to only numbers in Malaysia?
2. The cal forward charges are deducted from my Call Credit?
3. Can I manage the call forwarding via the app? If yes, when will this features be available?
4. Anyone trying to enable this feature through their phone while roaming in another country?
I really appreciate if someone can really provide a verified explanation on above matters.
You are not trying to understand what I’m trying to say. And didn’t bother to test it out.
I have a Yoodo number. I use Android. Setup a call forward to a Malaysia number with option “call when unreachable”. I then shit down this android phone. The call forward are still working.
Call forward are not purely dependent on device setting. The device provide a shortcut to setup call forward in your server. In other words, any call forward setting, once set, are stored inside your server.
Therefore, it is correct to say, I can call forward even when I’m in overseas without a Roam like home package.
LEE EARN PIN I don't think you can forward calls from Yoodo to foreign number if you don't subscribe to any IDD package, since the forwarding feature is actually your Yoodo number "talk" to the diverted number.
What can I suggest, maybe you can try installing Voopee or tapp, since you can get virtual Malysian number from those apps.
After installing, you can forward your calls from Yoodo SIM to your virtual number and receive the calls overseas.
You can use Voopee and tapp as long there is internet connection 😉
@Chen Which setting did you failed ?
I just tried both iPhone and android, both failed. And it’s reported via Live chat last week.
Hi Chen Jzyy Ching, yes iphone also support as long it have that feature.
1) Always forward: **21*number# (activate) ##21# (deactivate)
2) Forward when busy **67*number# (activate) ##67# (deactivate)
3) Forward when unanswered **61*number# (activate) ##61# (deactivate)
4) Forward when unreachable **62*number# (activate) ##62# (deactivate)
Using iPhone's Setting page, you can configure option 1 only (Workaround is setting using shortcode above instead). In Android's Setting page, it provide all four options so don't have to use the shortcode.
Yoodo support only option 2,3 and 4 option only. So, you can't really setup Forwarding type 1.
Shortcode above are universal. Meaning, even when you are roaming, that shortcode can still be set.
When you are outside Malaysia (the moment you turn on roaming in overseas, Yoodo somehow detect and know about it and straight away disable all forwarding options. So, the only way you can get forwarding to continue working is to subscribe to the Road Like Home Pass.
If you plan to stay outside Malaysia for long and do not subscribe the RLH and need forwarding, then your best bet is to stay away from Yoodo - Me
Hi LEE EARN PIN, thanks for your feedback again :)
RLH is one of the best roaming plans in the market, if not the best. This year-end season, we're even slashing the prices in HALF! Crazy stuff indeed!
as for Call Forwarding, we work within limitations of what's possible, what's not and most definitely within what makes sense cost-wise. I've always been transparent about that, Yoodo is a business, not charity thus our best offers have to at least break even and other services have to be profitable.
If that's the reason you're coming over then I do hope you're happy where you're at bro. At the end of day #youdoitbetter , we have to pick what works best in our situation :)
Agreed. All telco in Malaysia only allow call forward to a local number not foreign number, including Yoodo. This is not my question actually.
What I am trying to find out is, if I call forward to a local number, and then I travel to overseas. Can the call forward continue to work even without a RHL package?
Hi LEE EARN PIN, I've actually explained in my previous post above :)
Call Forwarding Settings are purely dependent on the device Settings. In order for this to work, a user Needs to have Call/Voice Quota active and it doesn't work for Roaming if there's no RLH purchased cause of the logic of how Roaming works in Yoodo, calls are only Routed when abroad IF there's an active RLH plan.
And if yoodo have an active RLH Plan, and your Call Forward while being abroad, means you Voice Quota will still be charged as per norm. Do get in touch with our agents via Live Chat if you have further info ya? Thanks :)
Hi LEE EARN PIN, I'll just reply here in points ya :)
1. Call forward to only numbers in Malaysia?
> Yes
2. The cal forward charges are deducted from my Call Credit?
> Yes
3. Can I manage the call forwarding via the app? If yes, when will this features be available?
> It's managed via your Device, not App. Probably need to google this depending on your device model
4. Anyone trying to enable this feature through their phone while roaming in another country?
> In general, it works while Roaming, with 2 conditions
a) The Roaming Partner in the said country Supports Call Forwarding while Roaming. We don't have a specific list on this as these condition changes
b) If the Roaming Partner Supports, then you can use Call Forwarding IF you have an Active Roam Like Home purchased. Call Forwarding meaning you're receiving a Call and that call gets forwarded for various conditions (you're unable to attend, busy, etc). Without a Roam Like Home plan Active, you Can't receive Calls which means you can't use Call forwarding at that time.
Hope that explains :)
I’ve actually tried it with my iPhone. And the call forwarding is not working as per mentioned by Lee above. Not sure why. It is just now working at all.
You have to buy idd to call overseas number.
does my plan include calling Overseas Number please?
does my plan include calling Overseas Number please?
Failed to activate call forward, any of the forwarding
Yoodo lock the option "Call Forward All Call" in order to sell more Roaming Pass. Simple as that. Don't get me wrong, they might have their reason why they wanna do so. Just a pity. I can't port my line from Digi to Yoodo only because of this reason.
Failed to activate call forward, any of the forwarding
Yoodo do not have that features.
I wish you find this out before you migrate to Yoodo.
We take the Forwarding All for granted from all Telco all the while and perhaps, you think Yoodo has it as well. The true fact is, it doesn't.
They disable the Forwarding All to sell more Roam Like Home. What they don't know is that, at the same time, they also losing customers like us.
What to do...
Yeah I found that I can't set option 1
First thought it was my device problem
Yoodo please advice on how do we use the always forwarding option
Thanks!
MOHAMAD ISRAQ BIN MOHD NOOR...Yes, must have call quotas & normal charge 30s per block.
